What is a giclée fine art print?

The term ‘giclée’ describes a method of printing using pigment-based archival quality inks. It is widely recognised as the gold standard of fine art printing. The pigment-based inks are far superior in their fade resistance when compared to dye-based inks used in traditional printing technologies such as lithography. In fact, a giclée print will last well over 100 years! Giclée printers also produce exceptional richness and colour accuracy when compared to other printing methods.

What does archival mean?

The word archival in art is used to describe the high standard of longevity and durability of the materials used. Your print will be produced using both archival paper and inks, ensuring that your print will not yellow or fade over time.

What print size options do you offer?

I generally produce prints in three sizes – A4, A3 and A2 (although this may vary for some designs). The size options for each print are listed on the product page drop down menu in my online shop, and will also be detailed in the product description.

How much is delivery for prints?

Delivery to UK customers is free. If you’re outside the UK, delivery costs will vary. These will be calculated at the checkout in my online shop.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes, international shipping is available. Simply enter your details at the checkout, and the postage costs will be calculated.

How will my wildlife print arrive?

Your print will be carefully rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube to ensure it arrives to you in perfect condition. I have a useful Care Guide to talk you through how to unpackage and flatten your print ready for framing.

How should I handle my print?

Giclée prints are quite delicate, especially the printed image surface. When handling your wildlife print, be careful not to touch the printed surface as this could cause marks or scratches to the image. Instead, hold the print using the edges of the paper, and make sure you keep your hands and surfaces clean to avoid marking the paper. For more information about caring for your print, please visit my Care Guide.

How long will my print take to arrive?

Your print will be dispatched within 2-3 working days. UK deliveries are shipped using a 24hr tracked service. International delivery times will vary according to your location. You will be provided with a tracking link once your print has been despatched so that you can be kept informed of its estimated arrival date.
