PRICES AND SIZES

The price of your portrait will depend on the size, and the number of pets you’d like included. Your artwork will be hand drawn in pastels with meticulous attention to detail, and so portraits which are larger, or which feature more than one pet will take me longer to complete.

My range of size options and prices are listed below in GBP and USD.

I also offer square portraits at the same price points as above - dimensions will be adjusted accordingly to give the same area as the sizes above. For example, a square version of the 8 x 10-inch option would be 9 x 9 inches at the same price.

POSTAGE AND PACKING

The vast majority of my work is posted, both within the UK and internationally. I always take the utmost care packaging your artwork, to ensure it arrives in the same perfect condition as it left me. My shipping rates are listed below. If your location is not listed, please get in touch with your address and I can provide an accurate shipping quote in your currency.

UK deliveries - £12 up to size 12 x 16. Larger sizes are £20.
US deliveries - $80 up to size 11 x 14. Larger sizes are $110.

Of course, you’re more than welcome to collect in person if you wish. You’ll be greeted with a lovely cup of tea, a plate of biscuits, and a waggy tail! I’m based near Newquay in Cornwall.

BACKGROUNDS

The prices above assume either a plain coloured background, or something very diffuse and undetailed. However, sometimes a particular setting can add so much to your portrait, and can really help to bring across your pet's personality by featuring them in their favourite place. If you would like a detailed background, please let me know and we can discuss options. Detailed backgrounds are charged at 20% on top of the portrait cost.

FRAMING

Your drawing will come unframed and unmounted as standard. I cannot guarantee the safety of your artwork in transit when framed due to the risk of glass breakage. However, if you are able to collect in person, I can offer a framing service for an extra cost. I am based near Liskeard in Cornwall, and use an excellent professional local framer. Please mention if you'd like this service when booking.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom pet portrait cost?

Single-pet pastel portraits start at £475 for an 8 x 10 inch and go up to £1,320 for an 18 x 24 inch. Multi-pet portraits range from £1,110 for two pets at 11 x 14 inches up to £2,090 for three pets at 18 x 24 inches.

What's included in the price?

The price includes your original hand-drawn pastel portrait with a plain or softly diffuse background. Detailed backgrounds are available for an additional 20%. Postage and packing is charged separately, and portraits are sent unframed and unmounted as standard.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes - a 50% deposit secures your booking, and the remaining 50% is due once you've approved the finished portrait. Payment can be by PayPal, bank transfer, or cash if you're collecting in person.

How much extra is a multi-pet portrait?

The price steps up depending on size and number of pets. A second pet on an 11 x 14 inch adds £320, and a three-pet 18 x 24 inch comes to £2,090. For anything above three pets, or a size that isn't listed, get in touch and I'll send you a quote.

How long is the waiting list?

My waiting list generally ranges between two to four months. In the lead-up to Christmas these waiting times may be longer. Get in touch with your timeframe and I'll let you know my current availability.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I regularly ship to the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Unfortunately I'm currently unable to ship to the EU. If you live abroad and would like to know whether I can create a portrait for you, please get in touch and I can provide a personalised quote.
