These prints are produced from an original pastel painting featuring two Amur tigers. This piece tells a story of hope yet uncertainty. Over the past 80 years, Amur tigers have been pulled back from the very brink of extinction and so this painting celebrates their comeback and shows what is possible when humankind pulls together. The two cubs mark the next generation of the species, symbolising hope in their future. The viewer is drawn to their gaze as they look up to the sky in…what? Hope? Apprehension? I’ll leave you to decide for yourself. Needless to say, with their overall species still endangered, their journey for survival has only just begun.
